I am thrilled to announce that “The Orchid and the Poppies” have been selected to be exhibited at the prestigious Homo Faber 2026, taking place from 1–30 September 2026 at Fondazione Giorgio Cini in the beautiful city of Venice.
Curated under the artistic direction of Es Devlin, An Island of Light celebrates the very best of contemporary craftsmanship, bringing together exceptional makers, artists, and artisans from around the world.
To have my flowers presented amongst such extraordinary works is a tremendous honour, and I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to share my work on an international stage dedicated to excellence in craft, creativity, and innovation.
I look forward to being part of this remarkable celebration and to connecting with fellow artists, collectors, and visitors in Venice this September.

The Orchid
Waxed Paper Orchid
A beautifully crafted botanical study by artist Charlotte Hepworth, this exquisite orchid is meticulously formed from crepe paper and individually hand-painted in oils to capture the delicate character and natural beauty of the living flower.
Each petal and leaf has been carefully shaped, layered and painted by hand, creating subtle variations in tone, texture and form. The translucent quality of the paper lends the petals a remarkable softness, while the oil-painted details bring depth, warmth and an almost lifelike presence to the bloom.
Combining traditional craftsmanship with an artistic sensitivity to botanical form, Hepworth’s orchid celebrates the quiet intricacy of nature. The result is a timeless, sculptural floral work that rewards close observation, revealing the extraordinary detail and patience invested in its making.

Icelandic Poppies
A delicate study of Icelandic poppies by artist Charlotte Hepworth, this hand-crafted botanical work is made entirely from crepe paper, with each flower meticulously shaped and hand-painted in oils.
The softly crinkled petals capture the distinctive translucency and fragile movement of the Icelandic poppy, with subtle washes of blush, ivory, peach and muted rose creating the nuanced colouring of the natural flower. Fine detailing around the centres and carefully formed stems further enhance the botanical realism, while the loose, expressive arrangement preserves the effortless charm of freshly gathered blooms.
